I was born and raised in the majestic and inspirational Lake District, Cumbria, a little over a quarter of a century ago!  Sally J Holtham is my name and I have tasted a variety of careers ranging from bring a Lifeguard, working in Charities, Office duties, Sales in Travel and now working for the leading train company in Britain!  Grown up in a small farming country village I had a happy childhood with lots of good memories.  I am now married living with my husband in a friendly village 8 miles south of Newcastle in County Durham.

Cumbria is what I call the forgotten county in the north-west of England, UK.  People commonly know it as The Lake District or The Eden Valley, but they are only small parts of the county.  There are, obviously, lots of Lakes and Mountains in Cumbria.  It has the most beautiful scenery imaginable, when the sun shines, which is a rare occurrence!  I feel a very welcoming presence when I return.

I am now in my thirties and feel I'd like to share my experiences so far, with this website.
